Evergreen Landscaping & Gardening Services is a Saint Lucian landscaping firm led by Stephen Jn Pierre, with its own plant nursery in the south of the island.
Our practice
Our team brings over twenty-four years of experience in the landscaping industry in Saint Lucia. For the past five years we have operated one of the largest plant nurseries in the southern region of the island.
That combination — a landscaping practice attached to a working nursery — shapes how we work. We understand plant behaviour and environmental adaptability, which is what allows us to make informed decisions on species selection and long-term sustainability rather than choosing from a catalogue.
Our vision extends beyond plants and lawns. We focus on how a space is experienced, used and maintained, so that it stays visually appealing and functional years after handover.
We have collaborated with local and international landscape professionals on a range of projects, including assisting foreign landscape architects with plant selection and adaptation to local conditions.

Sustainability, in practice
Sustainability is not a section at the end of the proposal — it decides what gets planted. Every scheme is assessed against the client's objectives, the site conditions and the environment it sits in.
- Species first. Low-maintenance, drought-tolerant and sea-blast-resistant species wherever the site calls for them.
- Sized for survival. Tree and palm heights adjusted so specimens establish instead of failing.
- Soil before plants. Topsoil blended with composted manure to hold moisture and feed root establishment.
- Built to be kept. Designs planned around the maintenance the owner can realistically sustain.
